Dr. Yao is American Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and a Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology. He graduated from the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in 1995. He completed this Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Norshore-LIJ Program with one full year of Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at UMDNJ at Newark in 2001. He served as Director of Hepatology at Northshore/LIJ Network-LIJ Medical Center in 2002. He later served as Director of Clinical Hepatology at Mount Sinai Medical Service at Elmhurst Hospital in 2003 to 2005. Currently, Dr. Yao is in private practice which specializes in Gastroenterology, Transplant Hepatology and Anal Disease. He is an expert in Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, and Hemorrhoid procedures.

Dr. Wallace J. Wang (王朝陽醫生, 腸胃肝膽) is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He is an Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital and Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
Dr. Wang manages patients with all types of gastrointestinal disorders and hepatopancreaticobiliary diseases. He specializes in therapeutic procedures including Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection.
Dr. Wang received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center, the main teaching hospital of Albany Medical College– where he also served as Chief Resident. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship training at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens. He pursued additional subspecialty training with an Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, under the guidance of Dr. David L. Carr-Locke, a world-renowned endoscopist and a pioneer in the field of ERCP. Dr. Wang was a full time faculty member at Weill Cornell Medicine prior to joining Downtown Gastroenterology Associates. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Wang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has a working proficiency of Cantonese, Spanish.
